Monday Motivation: The Lord is Good

Second week of the year! Did you get a lot done last week? Are you still grateful to see this year? Are you still excited about all the wonderful possibilities this year brings??

Remember that the Lord is good. You may not see it yet but everything that happened to you helped bring you to this place, this moment. Know that the Lord was with you through all the good moments and all the tough moments. Trust is His plans and promises over your life. Make an effort to spend time with Him so that He can give you His love and peace in exchange for all the things you hold inside. Let go of the pain of the past and walk into the goodness of the Lord!!

Say it with me! The Lord is good!

Fearless Friday: Build Your Confidence Through God

Wow, how exciting is this!? It’s the first Fearless Friday of the year!

Being that it is January sixth maybe some of the glitter of the New Year has begun to wear off. You may have begun to forget the excitement you had that night at 12pm and all the resolutions you made. Maybe you’ve already stopped following through  on those resolutions or begun to think that you were dreaming more than you could accomplish? Well, I’m here to tell you not to fall for those defeatist behaviors because you can and will get things done this year. Know that it will take a huge amount of belief and confidence in yourself to push past the bad habits of 2016 and into the victory of 2017!

You might be asking yourself “How do I get this confidence? This belief that this year is different, that I am different?” I have asked those same questions. People always say “You have to believe in you first.”, but what if that is the exact problem that you are having? What if your struggle is that your confidence level fluctuates between average and low with the occasional boost of high.

What helps me to remain confident and believe in my dreams is to draw my confidence through God. I do this by remembering all the wonderful things God says about me in His word. Sometimes I can just think on them to be reassured and other times I have to say them aloud. I remind myself that He created me on purpose and with purpose. He created me fearfully and wonderfully, in His image and likeness. I say to myself  ” If God Himself was pleased when He created you and placed you in your mother’s womb, then you too should wake up each morning with great satisfaction at the amazing person that you are!”

Remember to set your mind on the journey that God has given you. Stop comparing yourself to others. Be confident that God made no mistake when He created you. Remind yourself that He loves every facial expression, every ounce of who you are. The ideas and dreams He has given you were placed in your for a reason. You were chosen to carry them out! How incredible is that?!  If God loves you as you are then why can’t YOU love you as you are?

On this first Friday of the year begin to encourage yourself  in God. Tell yourself about the wonderful person God has made you. Remind yourself of how much the Creator loves you and watch your confidence become healthy and consistent.

Will you try it?

P.S. Have you seen the planner that I am using this year? My 2017 Monthly Planner?

My 2017 Monthly Planner

In an effort to make the very best out of this year I am once again using a monthly planner. Today, I wanted to share with you all the planner that I have chosen to use. I bought this planner at Target and let me be one of the first to tell you do not sleep on the planners are Target! They sell different sizes, color and themes so there’s most likely a planner that fits everyone’s needs. The planner that I purchased is perfect for how I like to plan.

Fact about me: I love to learn which means that at any moment I can see or hear something I want to remember and I have to write it down. When I saw how many NOTES pages came with this planner I was shocked. No need to keep carrying about notebooks! Now all of my little nuggets of information can be found in my planner each day when I want to refer back to them.

I was surprised to find out that this planner also comes with a folder pocket for storage! This is perfect for me because I always find some miscellaneous piece of paper or mail that I convince myself I need to carry around. This folder keeps everything neat and tidy.

The weekly spread is pretty awesome as well. On the left you have the days listed for you and you can design them as you please. On the right there are lined spaces with check off boxes just waiting for you to complete a task. I really don’t have the words to explain to you how happy I was to see that I wouldn’t have to draw little boxes for myself anymore!

Are you using a planner this year? If so, which one?

My Letter to 2017

Dear 2017,

I love you! Yes, I love you already!

In 2016 I learned so many lessons, I cried a lot and I tried new things. All I have left to give is positivity so I am glad that you are here and ready for me to pour all of my good seeds into you.

I know you will be different because I am different. I know you will be amazing because my faith says so. I will try it all. I will say Yes! I will work hard. I will be confident. I will learn from all mistakes and take any failures as opportunities to grow. You 2017, are mine! Love, favor, kindness, opportunities, goals reached and my most cherished dreams coming true is all I see.

And just in case you decide to throw me a curve ball it’s okay with me, I won’t complain. I know how to live. I know how to be successful. I know how to get back up from any setback. I know how important it is for me to love me and pour that love out into others. I know how to use my words to sow good seeds. I know who I am and whose I am. I know what great skills, talents and gifts my creator has placed inside of me. I will use them all.

So my question to you 2017 is, are you ready for me?

‘Cause I’m coming. Cancel that. I am here.

Fearless Friday: Set Your Sight On the Desired Result

Let’s review the pattern shall we?

  1. Human receives inspired idea or dream.
  2. Human becomes excited about said idea or dream.
  3. Human allows negative influence to discourage him or her regarding the idea or dream.
  4. Human retreats from pursuing the idea or dream.
  5. Human watches others live their dreams until a positive influence reignites the inspiration he or she once had.img_0874
  6. Repeat.

Look at number three. Acknowledge that you have experienced it. Now, cross it off the list. Then erase four and five because you are now carving a new pattern. A pattern of success. Never again allow any negative influence, whether it be your thoughts or the opinion of others, to discourage you from pursuing your dream. Never again allow doubt or fear to be the reason you didn’t at least give it a few honest tries. Set your mind, your eyes, your goals, your daily actions on the desired result. Make that all you see, all you hear, all your mind can process. Be courageous.

Just try it. You’ll get so much father than step five of the above pattern. Set your sight on your dream! Be fearless!
